Tuesday: Advanced Youth BJJ 5:30 PM – 6:15 PM

Get to know our Professors
The instructors at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu of Citrus County and Unified Martial Art Academy of Citrus County bring decades of expertise and experience in both competition and practical self-defense. Whether grappling or weapons, our instructors‘ training methods consistently produce reliable, repeatable results.
Chris primarily grew up in Illinois. His journey in martial arts began at the age of six with Taekwondo (TKD). During his middle and high school years, Chris was an active member of the wrestling team, eventually becoming a coach and competitor in both Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling. In 2003, he started his training in Jiu Jitsu, and since 2004, he has been under the tutelage of Pedro Sauer, earning the esteemed rank of Black belt alongside his instructor in 2018.
Chris then moved to Florida, where he dedicated four years of his life to serving as a Corrections Officer. His profound passion for Jiu Jitsu and his exceptional teaching abilities motivated him to establish his own school. Chris’ passion fuels his ability to transmit the art of Jiu Jitsu to individuals of all ages, while also offering valuable life lessons, and instruction in self-defence, and discipline. Through his teachings, he plays a pivotal role in nurturing the confidence and character of his students.
